Rehumanize International

2021 – Present

Rehumanize approached me with an ask to create thoughtful, compelling organic social content across a few of their key issues (war, drones, nuclear weapons, torture, police militarization, and more). The goal was to create engagement for these issues, and drive followers and donations to continue their peace work. Secondarily, these slideshows would reframe these classically liberal issues to be more palatable to a more conservative audience base.

Partnering with their Brand Creative Director, I drove engagement by writing compelling stories with uniquely human angles, and pairing them with data to prove a widespread problem. I framed the project by creating a consistent style with clear guidelines and simple illustrations. This allowed us to work very quickly on multiple in-depth issues with multiple data points, infographics and line up posts with current events.

 

As time went on, I refined both the style of the graphics and the storytelling style. The initial slideshows used more data, square proportions and asked more straightforward questions. As we discovered that more interesting questions created better conversation for the audiences on social media, I shifted the creative approach accordingly. I altered the proportions of the content to get more out of the space on Instagram.
